SSL Explorer and Vista

If you use Windows Vista with SSL Explorer you may find a performance issue where starting the Agent is very slow. This is due to a new feature in Vista called Receive Window Auto-Tuning. Disabling this corrects the performance problem.

In order to disable it you have to run the following command, either through a batch file or at the command prompt:

1. Click the Start Button
2. Type "cmd" and press enter (If User Access Control is enabled instead of pressing enter you should right click on "cmd" when it appears in the programs list and then select "Run as Administrator")
3. Type netsh interface tcp set global autotuninglevel=disabled and press enter
4. Type exit
5. Close SSL Explorer if it is open and reopen it, you should now not experience the problem
